The Lone Ride is a sponsored solo, 11,000 km bike ride from Melbourne via Uluru to Albany and back to Melbourne, representing the long lonely road that homeless people often face in getting their lives back on track.
Tim Taylor, our experienced, endurance cyclist is expecting to take around 5 months to complete the ride. Beginning on April 28 2018, the Lone Ride campaign, supporting the Avalon Centre, hopes to raise enough money to buy the first of many houses, providing long term accommodation and support, to a homeless family or a group of individuals.
Here is how you can help!
The Lone Rider will be returning to Avalon on Saturday 1st September at 4pm.
Tim, our Lone Rider, will be riding into Avalon Saturday 1st September after a gruelling 11,000 km ride across Australia. Please come along and welcome him home. There will be drinks and nibbles and the opportunity to talk to Tim and hear about his adventures.
Hope to see you at Avalon on Saturday (1936 Malvern Road, East Malvern)
